After a rather raucous friday and saturday, about all I could really manage on sunday was to sit around in my pjs, watch come dine with me and crochet. And, thanks to that boozy weekend, I have now joined 120 granny squares. It really has become a labour of love, one which started last spring, but I'm slowly getting there. The end is most definitely in sight.
So, today is supposedly "Blue Monday" - the most depressing day of the year. Thankfully for me, this monday feels like every other monday but in case you're feeling a little blue, have this gif of a v.happy alpaca.
I was just thinking that tonight I'm going to go home and crochet - I started a yellow and purple one but ran out of wool and couldn't find the exact colours again as I'd bought them all over the place. I'm going to start afresh after I've found a pretty granny square pattern I like. Yours is so amazing - you'll be my blanket inspiration x
ReplyDeleteAw, cheers becca. Good luck with yours - looking forward to seeing your progress! x
DeleteI love that alpaca, if only i could get around the place jumping like that....so much faster!! I think that sounds like a brilliant way to refuel after a heavy weekend, your blanket looks lovely, such a nice skill to be able to crochet :)
ReplyDeleteThat alpaca makes me laugh every time :)
DeleteBeautiful quilt, well done! I want to start a massive quilt this year but am yet to get started... should really get on that! Out of interest, what kind of yarn are you using?
ReplyDeleteThanks jess :) it's mostly DK acrylic or acrylic blend - easy to work with and v.soft.
